Dressage is about showing the judge that you can get your pony to do what you want him to do, when you want him to do it.

You and your pony have to follow a set of instructions laid out in the dressage test.

A judge marks the test. They give you a mark out of ten for how well you carry out each instruction. At the end of the test the marks are added up and the winner is the horse and rider with the highest score.

2019 Regional Novice Dressage Championships.

Saska Combes and Hennes Renaldo (Frodo) Qualified for the Championship in Cheshire, but they were cancelled.  Bicton put on a Regional championship for all three main sports at three levels.  

Saska and Frodo had a busy day as they also qualified for the Regional Team Show Jumping, which was on the same day.  After 2 clear rounds, and a jump off  they quickly changed for the dressage. 

They produced a lovely test, (watched by the Wilton support crew) and Won with a score of 72.29%  a full 1% above 2nd.
